Nepal Outdoor Academy provides comprehensive adventure training programs for Nepal's outdoor tourism industry. Our offerings include, but are not limited to:
- Outdoor Leadership Through Backpacking
- Trekking Guide Training
- Basic Rock-Climbing Training
- First Aid Training (Basic and Advanced)
- Outdoor Leadership through LNT (Leave No Trace)
- Basic Mountain Bike
- Map and Navigation
- Basic Kayaking and Rafting
- Additional outdoor education programs such as high-altitude expeditions, trekking programs, and cultural field trips
3. Eligibility
General:
Users must be at least 13 years of age to participate in certain courses like "Outdoor Leadership Through Backpacking". Specific age requirements for other courses, such as 15 years for "First Aid Training" and 20 years for "Basic Mountain Bike" training, are outlined in the respective course descriptions.
Course-Specific Qualifications:
Each course has its own set of trainee qualifications, which may include minimum educational attainment (e.g., "Minimum of eight class pass or equivalent" for Backpacking, "SLC/SEE pass or equivalent" for LNT, "SLC/SEE with years of working experience in the trekking tourism industry of Nepal, OR Must have passed +2" for Trekking Guide Training) and physical fitness tests. You must meet all specified requirements for the course you wish to enroll in.
Entrance Examinations:
Some courses require passing an entrance examination, which may include physical fitness tests and interviews.
4. Course Enrollment and Payment
- Registration: To enroll in a course, you must complete the registration process and provide all required information.
- Fees: Course fees are as published by Nepal Outdoor Academy. Payment must be made in full or as per the agreed payment schedule.

5. Participant Conduct and Safety

Participants are expected to adhere to all safety practices, including those for managing wildlife encounters (e.g., carrying deterrent pepper spray, proper cleaning of cooking sites, avoiding food inside tents, proper food storage).
- Environmental Stewardship: Participants are expected to promote awareness of the natural environment and build responsibility for its care and conservation, including implementing Leave No Trace principles.
- Cultural Sensitivity: Participants are expected to demonstrate respect for Nepal's cultural heritage and local communities.
- Disciplinary Action: Nepal Outdoor Academy reserves the right to remove any participant from a course or activity if their conduct is deemed unsafe, disruptive, or in violation of these Terms. No refunds will be issued in such cases.
6. Intellectual Property
All content on this Site, including text, graphics, logos, images, course materials, and the "Nepal Outdoor Academy" logo, is the property of Nepal Outdoor Academy or its content suppliers and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any content on this Site without our express written permission.
7. Disclaimers
Outdoor Activities Risks:
Participation in outdoor activities, especially in mountainous regions like the Nepal Himalayas, involves inherent risks, including but not limited to those associated with trekking, rock climbing, mountain biking, water activities, and encounters with wild animals. While we aim to provide comprehensive training for safe and responsible outdoor exploration, Nepal Outdoor Academy is not responsible for any injury, loss, or damage to persons or property that may occur during courses or activities.
